This rock benefits from the addition of trace elements, strontium, calcium and iodine. The curing process is begun before shipping. It is important to finish the curing process when received as outlined on the Live Rock Care Sheet, before placing in a tank that has fish, invertebrates or coral.

Good Live rock
Hey we all know that good live rock is the key to having a successful marine aquarium with an environment that supports all the micro critters and beneficial bacteria that you need to keep your fish and corals happy and healthy. In combination with good live sand this stuff is da stuff to have - Personallly I prefer the branch but for sheer amounts of life you aint gonna beat good old fashioned Tonga Plate - they ship it dry so you do have to do a "re-cure" but the plate usually wakes up in a week or so with or without calcium/purple up additives (dont really need them with this rock). The nitrites/ates dont spike with Tonga rock like haitian and Florida rock are prone to causeand if you have Tonga Plate in you can add Tonga Branch later on for a really neat looking aquascape.
